Talmadge L. Whitaker, Jr. aka T. Witz, is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, and audio engineer with an extensive catalog and keen business acumen; he is a multi-faceted artist who has been honing his craft for over 15 years. One of ten children, he was born in Philadelphia, PA and raised in Montgomery County, MD. He chose to pursue a career in music after graduating high school and leaving the sales industry.
T. Witz has always had a passion for creating music. He started free-styling, writing, recording, and mixing in 2007, and from 2009 on, he has been building his team, working with different managers, studios, and record labels in an attempt to perfect his sound. The first song he wrote was dedicated to the day he graduated high school. This was an accomplishment none of his other siblings had yet achieved, and he was very proud to be the first to do so.
Musically, T. Witz draws influence from artists such as Michael Jackson, Jay Z, Kanye West, Cassidy, Drake, Tech9, Immortal Technique, DMX, The Game, Eminem, and others. Although he has been compared by many to the likes of Drake, Lil' Wayne, Schoolboy Q, Eminem and Kendrick Lamar (to name a few), his sound and style are very unique.
After performing at different venues across the Washington, DC metropolitan area, he met with an executive of Evosys Entertainment who gave him access to his first professional recording studio. Various experiences, shows, and the desire to create incredible music led him to the task he attacks today. His mission is to speak life through his messages, making the world a better place one verse at a time. He chooses to be the person he needed as a mentor when he was younger. Witz does not seek recognition, but merely hopes for growth and understanding for those who seek the same. Witz makes music for the uplifters and those in need of uplifting. He chooses to lead by example as a business owner and opportunity creator, and works tirelessly to leave a legacy behind that inspires and encourages other creatives to never stop creating for the betterment of this world.
Over the years T. Witz released a few different projects and singles, however, it wasn't until the release of his album Rapper Man (2018), that he truly began to thrive as an artist. He considers it his debut album, and has been working diligently to build on to the foundation that was laid with that project. He followed up with Grape Juice and Handstands in a Hoodiein 2020.
Taking a leap of faith, he moved to Las Vegas, NV and opened a new studio, growing his business to a bi-coastal entity. There, he partnered with Trey Overton and took his company, Tribe Trinity Entertainment to the next level. Before and Upon his return to the East Coast in 2021, TTE has been joining forces with artists, businesses and politicians. Shortly after meeting Robbie Robinson of Lil Red Robinson Studios , a former recording facility in Rockville, MD , T. Witz and Tribe Trinity are setting a new standard for artists and the industry as a whole.
